Moonstones are one of the most unique gemstones in the market. But sorry, moonstones come from the Earth's crust, and not the moon. Moonstones are part of the Feldspar group of gemstones, under the species called Orthoclase. A special phenomenon is called adularescence, where the moonstone seems to have a bluish glow under light.
When buying moonstones, be careful of imitations that could be made of other materials, such as plastic or glass. Always buy your jewellery from reputable stores or designers to ensure that you are getting natural gemstones.
