In the 1950s, a young and ambitious Lee Leun Kyi began trading natural jadeite in Hong Kong, a stone widely regarded as the Stone of Heaven. Over the following decades, the business expanded, gaining deep exposure to cross-border trade and complex operations. In 1990, Legar established its presence in Singapore, recognising Southeast Asia’s potential as a dynamic regional and global hub.
